Default Forum is open for business

Most artifact discussions will take place in this fourm. I'm trying to divide up the fourms into manageable subject areas, without creating a bazillion forums.

Is there any other forum discussions that you'd like to see parsed out from an "open" discussion?

Mike,

Great site. Hope you get lots more members. Good to have several sites to balance the bias.

I mentioned on the PROS site that I'd like to see a material type ID key or something similar. I know of one guy that is working on that. Maybe you could link him. Also, are you planning to place a for sale or trade spot on here? Just curious. I don't sell, but I know other members will ask. Also, what are the criteria for the labels under user names? I'm currently a junior member. How does one become a collector?

Also, I'd like to be able to see the remainder of the thread for a particular subject as I reply so that I can refer back without having to copy my comments and go back and forth.

How do I add public groups that I'm a member of? Is that feature active yet?

Thanks for taking the time to add another great artifact forum to cyber space. It's always nice to have multiple locations to go for information and to meet other collectors.

So do I.

There already is a For Sale or Trade forum.Since you are a "collector", I have added you to that group and you should also see an "auction" forum now. Are you an AACA member? If you are, I can put you in that group and you'll see those forums.

I have already put you in that collector group. The "junior member" is just a forum thing. I think you can change it by going to UserCP and changing it to something else. I know it's possible but don't know if it's turned on. But you are in the "collector" group and can see a couple of "sub-forums" now.

I can do that, I think, but I'm not partial to that. Let me turn it on and give it a try... for a while and see how it goes.

To tell you the truth, I don't know. I'm still working on the configuration and haven't checked it all out yet. I'll put that on my agenda. Feel free to give anything a try, that you have access to. Maybe you'll figure it out before I do.

Ok, I have added a "Quick Reply" that allows you to have an edit window and still be able to see the post. The "Quick Reply" is to the right of the "Quote" button. Is this ok?

Mike,

I love it. I tend to get long winded and I'm very forgetful so I like to be able to refer back to past posts when I'm replying. This will be easy. Thanks for adding this feature. God to be here.

Mike, I am a member in good standing of AACA and a collector. May I also be added to the AACA and Buy/Sell Forums? Thanks in advance.
